Summary
In 1719, seventeen-year-old Mary Reade, who has spent most of her life disguised as a boy, decides to sail with the infamous pirates Anne Bonny and Calico JackThere's no place for a girl in Mary's world; and now as a sailor aboard a Caribbean merchant ship, Mary's livelihood-- and her safety-- depends on her ability to disguise her gender.
